Who You’re Actually Dealing With
Allied Painting Contractors isn’t run by corporate suits or transient contractors. We’re co-founded and operated by Justin Poole and Jon Doyle—two Elgin natives who’ve been in commercial painting for nearly two decades. Justin started his first painting operation in 2003 at age 22; he and Jon co-founded Allied in 2007. We still live in Elgin with our families, and we’re invested in this community.
More importantly: We walk your facility before, during, and after every project. We’re not delegating your job to subcontractors and disappearing. We’re personally accountable for outcomes because our reputation—and our families’ livelihoods—depend on it.
That’s the foundation of everything that follows.
How We’re Different: What Actually Matters to Facility Managers
Full-Time Employees, Not Subcontractors
Most painting contractors rely on a rotating cast of subcontractors. This creates inconsistency, quality variability, and accountability gaps. When something goes wrong, responsibility gets murky.
We employ full-time staff. This means continuity, consistent quality standards, direct accountability, and team members who understand your facility’s unique needs. Your project isn’t handed off to the lowest bidder—it’s managed by people invested in our reputation and your success. You know exactly who to call if there’s an issue.

Realistic Timelines & Proactive Communication
We build realistic timelines and communicate proactively. Weather happens. Supply issues happen. But you’ll never be left in the dark. We adjust schedules without penalty and keep you informed every step of the way.
Your operational continuity matters—we plan accordingly and minimize disruption through phased scheduling, off-hours work, and precision execution. For you, it’s business as usual while we enhance your space.

If downtime and scheduling are your biggest constraints, Request more information and tell us your timeline—we’ll help you think through the options.
We Assess & Repair Before We Paint
Proper surface prep is 70% of the job—and we don’t skip it. We inspect your building’s exterior honestly and fix problems before we paint. We power wash, remove loose paint, repair damage, sand rough spots, and prime bare surfaces. If the surface isn’t sound, the paint won’t hold—and we tell you that upfront.
We won’t paint over rust, loose paint, cracks, or moisture damage. If repairs are needed, we quote them separately and explain why. Quality paint lasts 7–10 years in the Midwest when prep is done right. Budget-grade shortcuts fail in 2–4 years.
Power Washing An Exterior Commercial Building Properly
Here’s a quick look at our surface prep process before coatings go on.
Power washing removes dirt and loose material so coatings bond properly and last longer.
We use industrial-grade paint designed for Midwest freeze-thaw cycles and choose coatings based on what your building is made of and how exposed it is. The difference? Surface prep, primer selection, and paint quality. All three matter.
Our Promise: Precise, On Budget, On Time
We guarantee our work is precise, on budget, and on time. This isn’t marketing speak—it’s a commitment backed by our reputation and our business model. We provide written warranties covering workmanship and materials, with clear terms and conditions. You know exactly what’s guaranteed, for how long, and what’s excluded.
If something goes wrong, we stand behind our work—no questions asked.
For facility managers accountable to leadership, this means predictable costs, reliable timelines, and zero surprises. You can forecast accurately and report with confidence.

Safety as a Core Value
Painting projects involve heights, chemicals, equipment, and risk. Your safety and ours matters. We invest heavily in safety training—OSHA 10-Hour certification for all personnel, aerial lift safety, PPE protocols, ladder safety, and fall protection.
This isn’t compliance theater. It’s a genuine commitment to bringing everyone home safely and protecting your facility from incident liability.

Documentation You Can Hand to Leadership
Facility managers don’t just need a finished project—they need clarity they can share internally.
We support that with straightforward documentation and communication that helps you track progress, confirm scope completion, and report outcomes with confidence.
Sustainability
Responsible operations matter. We take a practical approach to sustainability, including recycling where applicable and jobsite practices designed to reduce waste.

Additional Capabilities
5S Painting Services (FDA & USDA Compliance)
If you operate in food manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, medical device production, or any regulated industry, compliance isn’t optional—it’s mandatory. Standard painters often lack the expertise and certifications required.
We’re a certified 5S painting contractor, meeting FDA and USDA standards for facility safety lines, color-coding systems, and compliance documentation. We handle the regulatory complexity so you don’t have to.
Licensed, Insured & Bonded
Professional credentials protect you. We carry full licensing, insurance, and bonding—verified and current. This isn’t just a checkbox; it’s proof that we meet industry standards and that you’re protected if anything goes wrong.
For facility managers, this is risk mitigation. You’re not exposed to liability from an uninsured contractor or regulatory violations from unlicensed work.
Verify our Licensed, Insured & Bonded credentials.
360° Solutions
Beyond painting, we offer sandblasting, dustless blasting, epoxy flooring, caulking, and sealants. One vendor. Coordinated execution. Simplified project management. No finger-pointing between contractors.
Your Building is Your Asset
Your building is likely one of your company’s biggest assets—collateral for financing, a factor in business valuation, a driver of borrowing power for growth. Poor exterior condition reduces asset value, limits borrowing capacity, and signals deferred maintenance to lenders and buyers.
Quality painting protects that investment—but only if it’s done right.
