This week we are addressing building maintenance and why it is so important to make sure that you keep up on painting your buildings exterior. If you take a moment to look at our clients page and look into the case study of Sugar Grove, you will see that they suffered from, “Chalking”.
Now, we aren’t talking about fun hopscotch chalk! We’re talking about an expensive problem that can occur on a buildings exterior when too much time has passed between repainting it. The weather, especially in the midwest, can be especially tough on buildings exteriors so making sure you pay attention to time is important.
What is chalking? Well chalking occurs when, a white powdery substance, like chalk, begins to form on the surface of the paint. Too remedy this problem you must power was the outside of the building to rid of the chalk and leave a fresh painting surface. The expensive part comes when the building may have to be power washed several times and then the concrete repaired because of damage caused by wear and tear from years of no maintenance.
Any problem is fixable but we always try to educate customers so they can avoid the extra cost and keep their buildings looking immaculate!
So…just how much time has passed since your buildings last repaint?
